DVR (Digital Video Recorder) have already killed old tape recorder.
And evolution seems to be unstoppable.
Last compression standard is H.264 and it allows a compression double respect to previous MPEG4. This meens a bit rate lower than 1 to have an audio/video file in DVD quality. But it also meens smaller files and easier management.
HRVR0414, the smaller of H.264 HR family has a CIF resolution. Its bigger brothers HRVR0404, HRVR0804 and HRVR1604 have a resolution D1.
