DVR: PC based or Stand Alone?

Did you ever ask yourself the difference between a PC based DVR and a Stand Alone DVR?
PC based are faster to install, smaller and they can change your PC in a DVR, but you will not have the professional quality of HR DVR.
And you also have to consider the high cost to buy a server PC, able to be switched on 24 hours.
So… you should prefer a Stand Alone DVR, better if H.264 to have the best video quality.
But in LCT catalogue you can find LCTVR3104 that is a PC based. Why?
Watch the video and you will discover that using LCTVR3104 plus HRVR1604 (or an other HR DVR) it is possible to have the professional quality of HR DVR and also to have the interesting possibility to visualize everything by Smartphone or PDA.
Finally your DVR also on videophone!

Video interessante. E mi sembra anche utile la soluzione proposta. In effetti ho sempre pensato che l’unica cosa utile in un pc based fosse la possibilità di visualizzare tramite telefonino!
