How to choose the correct camera

We really hope this video can be useful:
We just see how to choose the correct camera for personal necessity.
We check a tipycal situation and think to cover a firm gate. We need an outdoor camera able to work during the day and the night.
First of all we have to choose the best position for installation, considering light, weather and distance. So we can choose correct lens with this operation: distance x 4,8 divided gate width.
Now we can choose a C/CS camera with correct lens, IR Light, housing and bracket.
Or we can choose a compact camera with all inside.
But we also have to pay attention to technical features. We need day and night recording, so we need a day/night camera. But if we have cars movement or a very dark zone we need to discover what are Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) and Digital Noise Reduction (DNR). And cause it has to work during the day too, we have to set in the best way also Back Light Compensation (BLC) and Automatic Gain Control (AGC) to have not problem with backlight and exposition.
